When I was approved to work fully remote from Nashville I was excited, who wouldn’t want to be in Music City working from their laptop for a couple months? The thought of getting to enjoy the beautiful sunshine, endless music and great coffee from different shops across the city had me eager to wake up in the morning to find my next favorite spot. The first couple weeks I was in Nashville I didn’t have WIFI so I was in search of the best spots to work from that met my needs and had me buying more then one round of coffee because it was THAT good.

I found this gem when the power went out where I was staying so naturally needed to find a quick coffee shop near by to pop back onto WIFI so I could finish work. It is a place I often come to even when I have WIFI because I love it so much. It is spacious with a very quiet and chill vibe. The lighting is tranquil and decorations are warm which made it easy for me to focus. The staff at Boots & Good Co are welcoming and friendly too. I would suggest trying their delicious Avocado Toast!

I put Ugly Mugs on the top of the list because I am obsessed with Bagels, like I could eat one everyday and never get sick of them. At Ugly Mugs the Bagel game is on point and 100 percent a perfect day of work spent with a bagel by my side. Ugly Mug is a popping location so it is not always easy finding a seat here and it is filled with white noise but I love the atmosphere here, the walls are decorated with local artist work which I find very unique!

If you are looking for a place that will surely never be out of seats, this is your spot! Fido is spacious with a lot of outlets for the working type. They offer a full menu for reasonable prices and I have not had a bad meal at this location. What I love most about Fido is their later hours of operation. A lot of coffee shops close between 4 and 5 – Fido is open until 7 most nights for those that like to work later hours.
Location: 2007 Belmont Blvd, Nashville, TN 37212
This spot is a little more fast paced and up beat but the second you walk in there are numerous other coffee lovers hard a work with their headphones in. It is a spot that is a little more busy but sometimes the white noise of a coffee shop feeds me into less distraction. I felt the WIFI was above average and the food was excellent. Bongo Java is a place I will definitely come back to for coffee or to work.
Location: 2509 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204
It is no surprise that Frothy Monkey is one of the hubs for the remote worker. You will find a lot of students that come here to study or remote workers that set up shop all day here. The WIFI is great and so is the amount of outlets. Frothy Monkey also offers a selections of delicious food along with all types of seating. What I love most is the big tables of seating perfect for a group of people working together. If you are hoping to check out this traditional coffee shop I suggest going earlier rather then later because seats do fill up fast!

Where are my night owl workers at? Café Coco is a unique spot that offers late night hours until 12AM. This place is not just a coffee shop though, Café Coco doubles as a music venue and restaurant. I like to come here when I am feeling like I might work better if I had a beer in my hand and some music to drown out my overthinking brain. With a more upbeat vibe then other working spots, Café coco is charming and has a lot of uniqueness to it. It is also a great spot for outdoor working lovers.

Another place I like to go when I am feeling I need minimal distractions and looking for a cozy atmosphere. Kwizera Coffee has awesome staff and a comfy vibe perfect for working the day away. They are open regular work hours and have a great coffee menu. Perhaps the best thing about Kwizera is the vision behind them. The owner of this amazing shop based his company off helping provide jobs and youth empowerment programs for young people in the city of Rwanda Africa.

White Bison is the “chain coffee shop” that I cant get enough of. It reminds me of a Starbucks but for some reason I like this place for the authenticity of it. Each locations holds a spacious place to work from, it can be up beat and fast paced but it can also be quit and tranquil depending on the time of day you go. I love that they have patios so I an work outside and still work on my tan even while on the clock. Its also great to have White Bison in a bunch of different locations so you can choose the area you want to check out.
Location: 2813 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203
I like to come to Three Brothers when I am working with other people, I would say it’s a great “Coworking Space” coffee shop style. Three Brothers offers a spacious and relaxed vibe with a ton of seating and pretty décor that keeps you feeling in the moment. A lot of people love the coffee here so much they buy bags to go or order them online and get curbside pick up. They don’t have an extensive menu but its perfect for a half day workday.
Location: 1035 W Eastland Ave #1045, Nashville, TN 37206
If you want a place that you will always feel welcome, this is it. I like to come here for the fun loving staff and the great coffee. The vibe here is carefree and genuine. Kettner offers a massive space to work with friends or on your own all the while seeing smiling faces across the room. A smaller menu then most but with great options and of course you have to try the breakfast tacos.
Let me know if you check any of these coffee shops out and which ones you like best! If you have recommendations on your favorite places for coffee and working all in one let me know so I can try them too!
