Heading to beautiful San Diego for a trip?! Staying in Mission or Pacific beach? I have all the best places to check out! After living in Mission Beach for a year and me being a food junkie I am, I was always in search of places walking distance from my apartment that were going to continue to call my name after I left 4 years later. Well I found those places folks. Dine at the below locations and let me know whatcha think!
Woody’s is my favorite place to go for coffee and breakfast. They also make a mean hamburger. If you are into refreshing coffee and acai bowls, I 100 percent recommend trying their acai with some peanut butter. I used to go here most morning, order a coffee and a bowl, take it to the beach and watch the waves roll up onto the shore. If eating there is more your style, they have boardwalk seating which makes for perfect people watching and sunset views!
Another great spot that offers a variety on their menu of sandwiches, seafood, Mexican, burgers and more. Guava used to be one of my regular spots, they always have awesome happy hour deals, good service and also have a pool table along with a dart board for some nighttime fun. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Sandwich – it was always my go too – huge and delicious!
This is the place to be if you are looking for tiki vibes and some of the best bottomless brunch around! Miss B’s is the drinking capital of Sunday funday. They have endless mimosas for 20 dollars and serve lots of cool looking glasses. It is also a seafood lovers paradise. Miss B’s offers delicious menu items, a fun atmosphere and great service.
One of the best spots in Mission to watch the sun go down! El Prez has a bumping roof top patio with perfect views of the ocean. The night life here is also a great place to meet people. Happy hour, say no more, they have killer drinks too! The offer a big Mexican menu of tacos, dips and everything in between. I suggest trying their nacho platter and their queso!
Need a late-night snack after a night out on the boardwalk? Ruribertos is the most authentic Mexican I have found in San Diego. They speak very minimal English which means their food is bound to be amazing. I am a big fan of their ground beef tacos. Something about the way they make their shells and the sauces they put on the meal makes for an unforgettable taco meal.
Waterbar is the perfect place to go on a chilly night as they have heaters and fire pits that overlook the beach. They are a little pricier then other spots but totally worth every penny. It is a great place to go for sunset. They offer a ton of stellar cocktails and have a menu that will make it very difficult to pick just one option. They are known for their crab mac & cheese sandwich and muscles.
Another perfect spot on the boardwalk overlooking the ocean is World Famous. They are a steak and seafood spot, perfect place for a romantic dinner date. I am a big fan of their steak, but my friends all love the seafood. World Famous also has amazing pasta dishes. You will want to go back more than once to check off all the things you will want to try off the menu!
This is my favorite place to go for lunch! Drink a nice IPA with a jam backed meaty sandwich. They have lots of veggie options too! Board and Brew suggests the best bears to drink along with your sandwich type. They have a variety of different breads, sandwich options and once they come out, your mouth will be watering ready to eat. I am a big fan of the California delight!
Looking for an Italian spot. Luigi’s massive menu showcases all the best Italian meals and home cooked crafted sauces. I loved going here for dinner dates during the week or for some delicious craving pasta days. They have more than just pasta on the menu as well! If you love pasta, I would recommend trying Chicken Picatta!
I am a big football fan, so this was my Sunday stomping ground when the Bills played on the field! PB Ale House is the Buffalo Bills Backer Bar and let me tell you, this place has the best wild a party atmosphere on a Sunday you will see in Mission/Pacific Beach. Need some Buffalo chicken wings? How about deep-fried pickles or taco in a bag? My personal favorite thing they offer is Labatt Blue beer! It is the only place you can find this Canadian made beer. Enjoy their outside patio, fireplace on a cold night or dine inside with all the TV’s and sports bar vibes.
